Question about basic html mobile site and "going back" from a specific deal to the main Hot Deals forum - > scrolls up to top

This has been bothering me for ages, but never took the time to write about it. It does not seem to be browser dependent.

Step 1:
Using "Basic HTML view" go to the hot Deals forum
Step 2:
Scroll down midway or anything that requires to page down to a particular deal.
Step 3:
Click said deal and appear on that deal page
Step 4:
Use your browser's back button. Normally this bring you back to the same spot/page you were on and not refresh. However, for some reason whenever you do this on SD, it brings you back and then forces you to go to the top of the page. Any other forum I am in when i do this, it leaves me at the last spot I scroll to.

Thus, somehow I must think there is some kind of code that forces the SD page to = scroll to the top of the forum.

Why is this annoying? Because it forces me to constantly "open in new window" in order to open links for deals I want to read more about, but still want to browse the main forum for other threads. Sometimes I just want to take a quick peek at the first post and then go right back, but when I do, I lose my place on the page.

Let me know if I can provide any more context or information.
