Air China has RT airfares travelling from Los Angeles (LAX) to New Delhi (DEL) for $455, including taxes and fees. This makes 1 stop in Beijing China (PEK).

My sample travel dates: September 10-24, 2017, but many other dates available. See attached screenshots.

Unfortunately GoogleFlights [google.com] won't show you the price in month/calendar view. But once you select dates, it will show you AirChina price.

You can book directly on AirChina.com or through partner websites (They may be $10 or so cheaper)

I used to think Air-India was the worst airlines, but after travelling in Air China once in 2012, I realized what hell in air means.
The price is unbeatable though.

Will it be viable to travel in Airchina ? What will happen if the 2 countries go to war? What will happen if China attacks Small tiny nation Bhutan.

Worst flight ever! Especially for older person requiring wheelchair. Please do not book this flight for your parents.

It is safe as long as certain safety precautions are taken

At this price, even if it is worst airline, no harm in travel. My only concern is what if some Chinese family decide to let their kid take a dump in mid-air on carpet. Last year China has 26 such incidents including international flights.

Hey there! It's safe as long as you're careful. As you know that India is a homogeneous country, if you're of a different country you stand out. It's better to travel in a group since you're fave a lot of cultural shocks but you can travel alone but you just need to be careful

It absolutely is not, there's multiple cultures and people of various ethnic groups there, but that's irrelevant to the "deal".

This price is pretty great, but the airline itself is finicky. The food isn't very great, added to the fact that it's already airline food. The comfort level might be bare minimum since even airlines using A380s forfeit leg space for more passengers, and during the monsoon season, there might be delays for flights to south-east Asia and south Asia in general. I would really consider paying more for a quality airline or going during a different time of year.

Brown guy here (born in India). India is absolutely a homogeneous country. If you are a white girl/gal, you will stick out like a sore thumb. Multiple cultures does not equate to lack of homogeneity.
