not true at all.
item weight is 14.3 pounds
but the shipping weight is 20.7 pounds
lets think what might weight 6LBS ? thats right, 6x HDD's

if you go to the previous deal for the TS-251 you will see people had the same concern. mine arrived last week with the disks in it.

also, if you check the price history for this model (using the camels) you will see the price used to reflect the 6x 4TB HDDs until lately.
also, it is prime only - why would they sell a product, as prime only, for its original price ? it doesnt make any sense

Looks like it's listed as having hard drives (6x4TB), but the price reflects the diskless model. I'm pretty sure if you order this, you'll receive the diskless model.

Same model is here for $899 without any hard drives: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...6822107276

This would be a damn good deal if disks were included. People should check this for sure though. One of the question/answers states there are no disks included which makes this a very average deal.

I've been looking for an NAS for quite a while now. This is outside my planned budget by double though. Is it this a slickdeal enough that it's worth grabbing?

See the same model number here on newegg, same shipping weight as well. It's with the drives:

the 64 number in the model reflects 6 x 4TB
