Hi All,

Home Depot has this fan for an amazingly low price after promo code. I've owned 7 of them, and will be ordering more, not a single issue. Easy to install, (please make sure to turn power off at the circuit box for safety), wear eye protection, and certainly install a fan box to hold the ceiling fan securely. If you feel uncomfortable at all with the install process, PLEASE hire a professional.

PROMO CODE : CEILINGFANS2017

AVAILABLE in BRUSHED NICKEL and WHITE. I currently own the brushed nickel and it looks very nice, functions very well. I use a 100 watt LED daylight bulb, and there's more than enough light.

Thanks.

Lifetime motor warranty - means a good motor

Airflow (CFM) 4670 - good for a Hugger, a fan with a down rod will usually move more air than a low profile fan

** NOT TRUE.... HomeDepot website has wrong info on CFM for this fan.... the specs on the Hugger Fan packaging (box) states it has only ~3400 CFM **

Bought this fan last month. Terribly loud. Can't talk when it is on. The instructions say "leave it on for 24 hours" if it is loud. Poor design. This is a recurring problem, based on comments on the HD website.

EDIT: I followed the advice of some in this thread, and found that some of my wiring had slipped during install, and one of the twist-on wire connectors was rubbing against the rotating motor. Upon fixing this, and tucking the wires deep into the fan box, I was able to get normal fan operation. Thanks to those who provided helpful input.

So I bought 2 of these and realized that it's the wires in the top that end up dropping below the ceiling support bar. Namely, the ground wire that for some dumb reason the preassemble to the bottom of the bar with slack so it hits the fan rotor inside the housing cover. I was able to fix mine by feel by loosening the housing cover and feeling around, pushing the wires up into the ceiling. On my second one, I taped the wires up above the bar and it worked perfectly. I'd give that a shot.

Ordered 5 of these fans, received quickly. Installed this first one yesterday, and it was surprisingly easy to put up where an existing fan was.

Just to confirm some of the earlier questions / comments since the deal appears to still be live:

It DOES have a medium base bulb, and it DOES come with an LED bulb 60 watt equivalent. It does seem kind of dim, but as others stated you can put in a 100 watt LED if not bright enough, and potentially put in a Y connector for 2 bulbs. I believe there would be enough space for this, but have not tried it.

Installation of the wiring above the motor is KEY. As others stated as well, the wires will rub on the motor spinning if not tucked away properly. Spin the motor as soon as you tuck the wires away to be sure the motor is quiet. This issue is not just with this fan, I've had it with the other fans I've installed.

The fan is quiet and does move more air than I expected. I agree with earlier comments as well where the pull chain does seem kind of flimsy.

Anyway, I thought this was a great deal, I expected less quality in the fan and/or it be incredibly difficult to install, but was pleasantly surprised. Main reason we got them is we had old fashion bright brass fans with huge light kits. That with 8 ft ceilings made the fan seem obtrusive into the room by hanging too low, this fan is great for 8 ft ceilings.

Probably nothing to be worried about, but I noticed when I click the OPs link it goes to the http HomeDepot.com site. But if I enter www.homedepot.com [homedepot.com] into my browser it has a 302 redirect to the https site. Weird, because my card transferred over to the https site though.
