Refurbished. Sold by Woot, fulfilled by Amazon. 90-day warranty -- be sure to look into SquareTrade!

Good specs for the price: i7-6700HQ, Nvidia GTX 1070, 4K IPS panel, 16 GB RAM. You probably can get a comparable refurbished Alienware 17r4 from Dell Outlet, though, for less than $200 more before coupon, Dell chat, electronic rebate site, etc.

It's a nice laptop, but the 6700 processors did have some overheating and throttling issues that HP claims they fixed with the newer 7700 models. But it's a good deal!

If you have a BB near you I'd check their open box section. I picked up basically the same spec laptop in alienware for 900$

the 7th gen is like 10% faster too. like I want this laptop. I want a good deal, but I don't want to buy a laptop that is just going to be shitty in less than a year, even at a good price. The other thing about the alienware clearance laptops is some of them are 1440p, which I would actually prefer.

Well, spending $1349.99 + tax on a refurbished item with only 90 days warranty is insanity.

Bought this laptop new several months ago with the 7th gen i7, had to deal with several graphics driver issues which wasn't that big of a deal. Main complaint is already have red/blue artifacts on the screen, going to have to try to warranty a new one...

I am deciding between ASUS GL, Alienware and Omen. Any recommendations as far as brand goes?

Yeah, nice laptop, but that's pretty pricey for a refurb (a Woot reburb, at that).

@slickchoper Alienware has best I/O including AGA port for future proofing. They're more expensive so look for deals/open box...and i feel like warranty and customer support / drivers is better with Dell's side.

Nice specs. But is $1,350 too much for a laptop for general use or am I just cheap?

It was a AW17R4. Not sure specific model without being at home.
