It doesn't seem like this comes with the equivalent of Tardrive's spanned volume software, but that has limitations as well it seems. I don't think Tardrive supports Bootcamp, and I have doubts as to whether the difference in read/write speeds between the onboard SSD and SD spanned volume is seamless. This is also a lot cheaper, though it's really more of a smaller form factor SD card designed to fit in a Macbook Pro/Air slot.

The Transcend is a great drive, I have one on my 2015 Macbook Pro.

This would be a good deal for the posted price of $81.83 but I see $159.99 as the selling price...

Agree with Medic311 just buy the adapter. And No this isn't going to extend your primary drive. This is for expanded storage only.

These things burn out and become read only in a few months. I have had this happen twice to me. I have given up on these things.

Yeah, I'm going to have to strongly disagree with this mediocre advice.

And if you don't know why, you probably don't know enough about flash drives to understand why.

Show me a link with a combo (microSd rec + adapter), maybe that'll change my mind. But chances are, I'll be the one doing the explanations.

I use this adaptor https://www.amazon.com/BaseQi-ISD...rd+adapter and a 200gb micro sd card. No real issues like medic said

I'm curious why you intentionally left out the card. You know, the actual item that's doing the performance..?

You do realize that an adapter doesnMt actually work by itself, right? You actually have to fill it with an awful item, and it has to convert the data over.
