Inkjet printer

Must be signed in to your My Best Buy account to see the posted price.

If you receive the EDU Student Coupons from BB, check your emails, you likely have a $10 off coupon for this exact model waiting for you! I just bought it with the coupon, bringing it down to $49.99 + tax.

Picked one up. The big draw for me was automatic duplex copy/scan, which I've found very hard to find at this price point. I don't print that much so the print quality, speed, and ink costs aren't as high priorities for me as the auto duplex copy/scan.

edit: I don't have Elite or Elite Plus membership but I still have a few months on my Gamers Club Unlocked subscription. Don't know if this enabled me to get the deal.

Being inkjet, will the ink dry up if not used regularly or has that improved in the past several years? I have a 10+yr old dell all-in-1 that is currently used for scanning/copying only and I print a Pantum black laser that was bought for only $22 a couple years ago. It would be nice to have a true all-in-one setup again. But, am done with inkjets drying up....

I have this exact model I bought a few years ago so this is a great deal now.
About the ink, I can't vouch specific data/support to say the ink has improved. But from my personal use, it's been a great printer and I only print every few months (3-4 months with nothing printed sometimes) without any signs of drying or poor quality. Hope this helps.

Amazon reviews are not that good. And their is this, same as my Dell. Will pass on this.

If it is out of a color cartridge can I still print just black?
Answer:

No. Setting the print option to Grey scale does not allow you to print if a color cartridge is out. The box specifically states you need all cartridges to print. Very frustrating.

Epson is updating their firmware online , and blocking the using of chipped refill cartridge.Check the cartridge prices before buying , these are small cartridge.

I have the 3640 which is essentially the same unit. I have the update. No prob with aftermarket carts (legally, they can't prevent you from using them). However, I do have issues with them drying out.

I have the version from Costco. Scanning with this thing is horrible to do over your average home network. If you want to scan, I recommend scanning to some type of physically connected media.

I have this printer and use it every day during the school year. I am a special education teacher and use it for printing, scanning, and copying on a daily basis. The XL ink cartridges, which I get as remanufactured, last very well and the quality is excellent. I have no issues with scanning, I can usually scan in a matter of minutes. I love this printer!

I have the Epson WF 4630, and like every other owner, my unit prints like shit after 2 to 3 years. (Lines when I print) and I have done EVERY possible maintenance on it and yeah, no good.

Dunno about newer Epsons but mine (bought from best buy) only came with a 1 year warranty
