This seems to be normal price. Few days ago was extra 10% off plus $15 off $75 coupon. So...

I wouldn't. 67 of the 153 pieces are fillers (screwdriver bits, hex keys). I'm not a fan of the universal design (aka Spline drive). I'm no mechanic, so my opinion is just that, my opinion.

I do like the layout of the case, though.

I have given up on craftsman HarborFreight has much lower prices and good quality.. Craftsman might have use to have great ratchet wrenches but they are no where near the same quality they use to be.

I think for the same price and after sales and coupons you're going to always do better at HarborFreight

What you call "fillers" are often very necessary tools to have in order to complete a repair. But if all you happen to need for whatever you happen to be working on is wrenches and sockets, then you why are you looking at a universal mechanics set rather than basic wrench sets and socket sets?

I'm just answering a question and clearly stated that it was merely my opinion. 30+ screwdriver bits can be purchased much cheaper by themselves and loose short hex keys in a plastic pouch are difficult to read. I rather use my set of hex & torx sockets than the keys or my long arm set that came in a labelled holder with a handle to get better grip and more torque.

Totally agree with you... good starter set, but I don't believe this is a good price. I personally wouldn't call this slick until it hits $80.

Feel great in the hand, I really like the dual color finish, but wrenches and ratchets are a bit bulky/chunky without a real reason which might be an issue for tight spots. I like the universal design sockets.

If you have wrenches pass on this. Picked up a Kobalt 153 set for 79 last month because it was almost all sockets and 90 tooth rachets for close quarters. Craftsman rachets are terrible and Sears wants to fix them before replacing them. Lowes has no questions replacement.
