Allen Edmonds shoes are expensive but well worth it. They hold up way better than any other brand I have tried (Cole Haan, Florsheim, etc)

These prices are not a big deal. Same prices on site during sales and clearances. The advantage is being able to size them on the spot. AE is not always consistent with sizes, I bet you know that.

I agree with that in relation to all of the shoe except for the sole. They tend to wear quicker for me than I expect based on other dress shoes I've had. However I just get them resoled(not a word I know)

Park avenues haven't been on any of Allen Edmonds sales at this price for a long time.

Sizing depends on the last. I wear a 10.5. EE on the 65 and have five pairs. they all fit perfectly

The Cap Toe Derby is the best deal on here. Pretty much in line with the factory 2nd sales for a goodyear welt shoe. TU for that shoe!

yes, it's true not every single shoe has been at this price on their site. probably at least half. The last is a great concept, but the Neumok, Park and Mctavish are all on the same last and fit totally different. They are all on the 5 last. Neumok tends to run more snug than Park and the Mctavish feels like it's on a totally different last. Mcallister feels the same as the Strand but nothing like the Mctavish or Neumok. I also have shoes in other last that fit perfectly. Same foot, different last. If not for the free exchanges, I would not size online. I'd much rather try on in person. I have the Mctavish in an 11.5 D and 11 E, and they both fit. A little different, but they are both comfortable. I don't know why but that's the way it worked.
Just my own experience. they are not always consistent in size, but the Customer Service is great! So I do it.

I walk a lot these days as I live in a city. Usually I do the 2 for $99 from Clark's and have been pretty happy - each pair lasts about 6 good months of daily wear, but by 7 or 8 holes start appearing.

Are these worth 4 pairs of Clark's, assuming I keep them polished?

Part of the reason I like cheaper shoes is, even if they don't last, newer ones look better since I'm not big on shoe shining.

In for one pair of Park Avenues, I don't see this type of price on that shoe often. Thanks OP

Great brand. I love mine. Get sole protectors from your local cobbler.

not useful deal, and the quality is not good , it will hurt the feet if you walk more than 20 minutes.

Please explain your experience. I can wear AE shoes all day and it is a positive experience compared to the Johnson and Murphy shoes I have had.

You might not be wearing the correct size/width. You should go to an Allen Edmonds store and get properly fitted. I stand all day in Allen Edmonds and they are truly the most comfortable dress shoes I've worn.
