Doesn't matter much if you can't find the KS8000 anywhere new, right?

Right. The LG is still an excellent TV.

I have had this tv for a week. I missed some good deals on the ks8000 and thought I would end up with a better tv in 2017. Didn't know Samsung would release worse TV's.

Jumped on this TV. Its in my game/movie room but playing games is what I do 90% of the time. That 15ms in game mode is awesome.

At $800 i think maybe I should wait for a OLED for like $1200 when one drops. That is my biggest issue. Do i need to be more patient and just wait for a good OLED.

Excellent, I mean... It's the bottom of the premium tv barrel. Not quite budget tv range, but, it's definitely the last option you go with if youre looking for a premium tv.

Every TV under $800 is crap. You pay like $500 for some garbage Samsung MU6300 or a gimped out Sony. Only the TCL P is a good deal at $600 but still poorly cheap made TV.

I've owned the KS8000 for a year, and though it's a good tv, it is NOT the Zeus of all tv's the people on this site make it out to be lol. It's bright, and most people like saturated color (watching a sport with green turf is painfully green and motion is NOT crisp), and it does do everything fairly well. But it has lots of flaws of its own and is NOT able to produce a "touched by God" picture in terms of crispness and clarity except in the usual 4k and bluray formats that most upper end tv's handle well.

Having said all that, I would still buy the Samsung over any of the regular non OLED LG's. But I'm just trying to make those who missed the KS8000 realize you don't need to jump off the nearest bridge. It's very good, but not that good!

I was wrong about this TV. After having it for a week I am returning it.

Contrast and blacks are a deal breaker. When watching light black on black you can't see anything. When I was playing Horizon Zero Dawn on my ps4 pro at night I barley could see anything. Hooked up my old ku6300 and it was 3xs better.

Colors look beautiful and this TV handles motion like butter. But I game 90% of the time on my TV and not being able to see at night or dark places in games is a deal breaker.
