Acer Aspire R 15" 2-in-1 Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 2GB Graphics - 1080p. 1TB 5400rpm sata HDD. $100 off from Costco.

Great price for this 2-in-1 convertible laptop. Amazon has them for $515.57, but with Intel HD 620 graphics and only 8GB Ram. The Geforce 940MX will allow you to play more current games than the HD 620, though most on low graphical settings and the extra RAM is good for multitasking in Windows.

The 7th gen Intel i5-7200U is around 5% to 13% (depending on test) slower that the i5-7500U, but is slightly faster than the 6th gen i7-6500U.

1TB 5400 rpm sata HDD
Intel® Core™ i5-7200U Processor at 2.5GHz
12GB DDR4 (2-DIMM) RAM
15.6" FHD Widescreen LED-backlit IPS (1920 x 1080) Display
2GB NVIDIA GeForce 940MX Graphics
Backlit Keyboard with Precision Touchpad
Acer Fingerprint Reader supporting Windows Hello
Wireless-AC (featuring MIMO technology) + Bluetooth® 4.0
Acer TrueHarmony High-Performance Sound Processing

According to the Acer Forum, it also looks like you can add an M.2 2242/2260/2280 SATA Gen3x2 SSD.

The reviews on Amazon see to say that the screen is brighter than many comparable 2in1 laptops. BestBuy had the Asus on sale, but I just wasn't impressed with the screen colors.

The Asus had all the same specs (except it was an i7 7500U), but the monitor wasn't an IPS monitor like this Acer. It was on sale over the weekend for $699, but this Acer deal was too good for me to pass up. With my savings, I'm going to buy an SSD for it.

The website doesn't say anything about adding an M.2 SATA, but their experts on the Acer forum say you can. I'm going to wait until mine arrives to verify that, but if worse comes to worse, I can still swap out the regular HDD and replace it with a regular SDD and it will still be less expensive than most 2in1's .

Does this allow switching to Intel HD Graphics 620, or is it stuck on 940MX always?

A little cheaper but smaller/lighter (14) with only 8Gb RAM but with SSD: https://www.costco.com/Lenovo-Fle...25952.html

Buying any laptop with Costco Visa gets some extra warranty: 4 years total!
