It's $81.99 for Prime members only, shipping is obviously free.
Ships in 1-4 weeks, I have ordered 3 sets and they show as arriving Aug 9-21, which I don't mind at this price, it's not going to get any cheaper by then.

It's 16GB set with 4 sticks in it, which is not ideal for many users, especially some Gigabyte boards that stop working when all 4 slots are populated, though X299 owners may appreciate 4x sticks. Speed is average - 2400MHz, latency 16-16-16 but some say it overclocks to 2800/15-15-15

Anyone know the timings/CAS latency on this? I found a review that said that after overclocking he could get it to 12 at 2666 MHz, but that was 2 years old and a "32gb kit". No mention of the default timings except "slower than a lot of other ddr4"

Why have RAM prices gone up so drastically this last year?

Shortage on raw material. Micron is way behind and can't keep up.

Phones and some other devices are eating up DRAM supplies. Also I think some still did not transition effectively from DDR3 to DDR4, as it seems like everything is DDR4 now. Ryzen adds up some heat as well, FX/APUs were on DDR3. At the end they will see that we still buy at that price level and will not discount anything.
