sweet! Been waiting for this awesome deal to come back!! The range on this thing is insane!! I have one in the family already. Good for large yards and/or large homes....wherever large distances need coverage or if your house has difficulty with WiFi. Replaced a Netgear R8000. This RBK53 system (RBR50+RBS50x2) is not to be confused with the less powerful RBK40 system...

Can I borrow my friend Costco account to buy the router? Is it work? Like I can use my own credit card and ship to my own address?

The regular Costco.com is $499.99 and the current promotion is for $75 off.

FYI, what has stopped me from buying the Orbi is the lack of ethernet backhaul. Most of the whole house wifi solutions like Linksys Velop and eero support ethernet backhaul which is useful if your house is wired for ethernet.

I'm in the same situation as you but everything I read is saying that this still allows for the highest speeds. I have fiber at the home and with my nighthawk 7500 the best speeds I see are 300mpbs on 5ghz standing next to it. Coverage is ok but I'm trying to get as much bandwidth as possible.

Just be aware that the USB port on this router is disabled. It cannot be used for HD sharing, Time Machine, printer, etc. it is really a step backward since night hawk has USB 3.0 support.
Granted, the wifi is awesome on this thing, great streaming speedsmeven outside my house, but I was sorely disappointed that I could not share my new 5TB drive over the network. Will have to get a NAS adapter or drive

checkout latest firmware 1.12.0.18 I believe they have enabled that USB port finally. However, the latest firmware is causing a lot of connection drops for folks. So mixed bag - netgear still has a lot of work to do in terms of firmware....I had to downgrade till they fix these issues out to 1.11.x fw

"Supposedly" ethernet backhaul is coming but if you really need it prob best to look at one of the other systems out there like eero or google wifi etc

Thought about Google wifi when it was on sale with prime days but max bandwidth seems low compared to others

Agree. This system by design has the best wireless backhaul w separate channels for the backhaul. Hopefully they get their firmware woes figured out

What speed is your fiber connection supposed to be? ISP connection speed is different than LAN/WLAN speed. What device are you using to test your speed? Even if you had a new wireless AC device, chances are you'll never achieve the theoretical wireless throughput speeds advertised.

My Orbi solved all my wifi issues in my home. It's been a lifesaver for me who wrestled with poor network performance no matter what router setup I tried. Orbi has been plug and play for my setup. I wish I had this in my house ten years ago.
