I die a little inside every time I have to pass this up. Only thing that makes a little better is that it doesn't appear to be for the Olympic White version.

It's so hard to adjust neck on a vintage style guitar...

Cannot recommend this guitar. Luthier was shocked at horrible factory set-up. Nut needed work to lower sky-high action. Top E string skates the end of fretboard - if you have a heavy hand, be careful. Body had light scuffs.

Oh yeah, and Smiths tunes aren't any easier to play on this guitar, either. Smilie

Strange the quality is so much different between the Mexico and Cali plants, considering they're made by Mexicans. at both.

sure it would work for a beginner but I would not recommend a beginner start with this guitar. I'd suggest a lower priced maybe a squire or something from rondo music

resell on this would not be great so if it did not work for the beginner you would not come close to getting your money back

No because you will likely damage it.

I think there are too many switches/options on a guitar like this for a beginner.

If you are prepared to spend $1000+ on a guitar to begin with, there's nothing wrong with that. I'd look for a nice used Telecaster or something like that. It's a simple instrument and won't lose much resell value if you decide to move on.
