It's now $22.99 including the cable, or $19.54 without one using a different code. Might as well get the cable though, as you can't find a similar one (1m, 10gbps, 60w, USB-IF) for less than $10 on its own anywhere.

After doing tons of research, this is the best deal I can see anywhere for a 45w/20v USB Power Delivery charger, especially with the free cable.

It does 20v at 2.25a, so you should be just fine. They even list the 2017 X1 Carbon as a compatible model on the Amazon description, so if for some reason there is an issue, it should be no problem to return it.

To get the cheapest price, be sure to get the white version and add on a free cable using the list of available promotions on the Amazon page. They offer a white/silver or dark grey cable for free.

Another note: For people who want to use this for international travel, Inateck annoyingly seems not to sell the replaceable plugs for other regions. But I believe you can borrow ones from certain other chargers made in the same factory, this one being the cheapest I found at $13: https://www.amazon.com/iKits-Char...B01D1BWPT8 . If you're just traveling to one of these regions at a time, attaching one of these makes for a much smaller/lighter and nicer charging solution than relying on separate stacking adaptors.

Would this be okay for 2017 MacBook Pro 15"? I know I need a 78W but I don't mind slower charging if it's reasonably slower.

My understanding is that it will charge the MBP, especially while it is sleeping etc. But if you are doing power intensive work on the system, it will actually drain from the battery even while plugged into this charger (or any 45w charger). So if you're looking for a small/cheap secondary supply while traveling or as a backup, this will do the job. But if you want to use the system while it's charging, I'd suggest at least a 60w.

More info on USB-C chargers and their behavior with the MBP here: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/...-chargers/ . They even included this Inateck in the round up, but they say absolutely nothing about their experience with it. I guess no complaints is a good thing, but it's not much of a review...
