How is Cricket Unlimited 2 different from the Unlimited Plan?
Data speeds are limited to a maximum of 3 Mbps with streaming limited to a maximum of 1.5 Mbps, SD quality (about 480p).
How does the 2 for $80/mo offer work?
The first line on the Cricket Unlimited 2 plan costs $55/mo. You'll receive a $30/mo discount on the second line with Cricket Unlimited 2 on the same account, making it $25/mo.
I'm a new customer. How can I get the 2 for $80/mo offer?
To get the 2 for $80/mo offer, place an order for two new lines of service on cricketwireless.com. Start by adding a phone and a Cricket Unlimited 2 plan for your first line. When you reach the cart page, select Add Another Line from the top. Add a phone and another Cricket Unlimited 2 plan. You'll see your discount reflected in your cart. Proceed to checkout, and enjoy your savings! Please note, only two-line accounts are eligible for this offer.
I'm an existing customer. How can I get the 2 for $80/mo offer?
The 2 for $80/mo offer is only available for accounts with two lines. If you have more than two lines, you're not eligible for this promotion, but you may be eligible for other offers.
I have a one-line account.
To get the 2 for $80/mo offer, first change your existing line to the Cricket Unlimited 2 plan. Log in to My Account, scroll down and select your phone number. Then select Change Your Plan, and pick the Cricket Unlimited 2 plan. The monthly charge for this plan will appear as $55/mo. Next, return to the Account Summary page, and select Add a Line. Follow the prompts to add a new line with the Cricket Unlimited 2 plan to your Cricket account. The monthly charge for this plan will appear as $25/mo.
I have a two-line account.
To get the 2 for $80/mo offer, change both of your lines to the Cricket Unlimited 2 plan. Log in to My Account, scroll down and select the phone number you want to change first. Select Change Your Plan, then pick Cricket Unlimited 2. The monthly charge for this plan will appear as $55/mo. Next, return to the Account Summary page and select your other phone number. This time, when you Change Your Plan to Cricket Unlimited 2, the monthly charge will appear as $25/mo.
Is the Mobile Hotspot feature available with this plan?
Not at this time.
At what point do you begin slowing data speeds under the new unlimited plan?
With the Cricket Unlimited 2 plan, you'll receive a high-quality mobile experience from the start regardless of how much data you use. Download speeds are up to a maximum of 3 Mbps for compatible devices. As always, actual speeds may vary by location and device.
If you are on the Unlimited or Unlimited 2 Plan and use more than 22GB of data during any monthly plan cycle, your data speeds may be temporarily slowed during periods of network congestion for the rest of that monthly plan cycle. To learn more about when Cricket will turn on the new network management practice for you, view Important Information Regarding Data Speed, Usage and Network Management. For more information on these practices and Cricket's mobile broadband service, visit cricketwireless.com/mobilebroadband.
Is the Auto Pay credit available with this plan?
Not at this time.
Can I get a Group Save discount with this plan?
Yes, as long as you are not already receiving another promotional discount, such as the 2 lines for $80/mo offer. At this time, only one discount will be applied to each eligible account.
What if I'm in the middle of my billing cycle? Can I change my plan without paying full price?
Yes, of course. You'll just need to pay the difference. When you make a plan change, we prorate the charges for the rest of your billing cycle, so you'll only pay for the days you use the service. View rate plan common questions.
How do I change my plan today?
That's easy! You can sign in to My Account online to change your plan. If you don't have a username and password, it only takes a few minutes to register using your Cricket phone number. You can also swing by your local store or call 611 from your phone. See how easy it is to change your plan.
If and when you discontinue the plan, will current users be grandfathered in?
Yes, as long as you remain a customer in good standing on the grandfathered plan.

Tmobile or metropcs coverage has got a lot better in the last few years compared with AT&T or cricket in the Bay Area.

This with the limitation of slower speed makes me think this might not be a good deal

Is it related to bad rom that causes the reboot?

Has anyone else had increasingly poor reception with cricket? Have loved and defended them for years, but I've had so many "no service" issues in my home and several local shops over the last few months. Same with others here so I know it isn't my device.

I had the same issues in downtown Palo Alto, CA.

It's worse when you are in highly densed area like a train. Though connected to.the network, but can't browse anything

The selling point of cricket was havign a reliable signal coverage, but this is no longer the case given its reception in the last few years.

Band 12 from T-Mobile really changed the game

AT&T decided to stop investing in network and started buying up all sorts of other things like DirectTV. Now they're scrambling to manage network resources. They got the brilliant idea to throttle everyone. The Cricket gravy train is over.

Last month I was driving through AZ, UT, CO, NV.... I got no reception in very rural areas, which I expected, but was getting very poor to non-existent reception in Denver area. I went into a Cricket office and the staff called their tech support and said that they were reprogramming my phone's roaming to improve Denver area reception. Whatever they did actually did help. I had good reception in most of Colorado and still good traveling back through NV and AZ. Of course, this really should have happened automatically.....I think Verizon customers seem to get better reception in the southwest.

Have noticed very degraded signal in Reno area at home. Even called Cricket to see if there was a tower outage or some such. But no, just seems I get poorer reception from same spot I have been with Cricket on for years.
