Costco has the FEIT brand, 2 for $9.89, 4 would be $19.78.

*$14.99 original price before utility savings.

See picture below:

Note, these are 2700K with whopping 92 CRI (Color Rending Index), much better than 80 CRI for this brand.

FEIT brand does not produce noise neither.

Yes. This is basically will replace the bulb and the trim. You must have the can in place.

If you start out fresh, it will be simpler to use junction box along with "surface mount recessed light". Easier to install and cost less. It will protrude out a bit from the ceiling compare to regular can recessed light.

I see pictures with 4-6 ceiling downlights... so you have to be pre-wired and have the holes in the ceiling, right?

I bought these a little while back and they are very nice. Unfortunately my metal housing has absolutely nothing for the springs to catch on to and the springs alone weren't enough to hold the lights weight without having something to catch on to.

I ended up putting them up in my parents and in-laws house (I have a lot more fixtures than they do) and they are great. I think my housing was more of the anomaly so most people should be good.

I had same issue- old style cans. Home Depot online had adapter clips to allow me to use inserts like these. The clips are made by Seagull
Lighting.

Follow the below link and it has a picture with the junction box. You'll get the idea. You can use remodel junction box for ease of installation. Now it's up to you to find good deal on the surface mount led lights.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...ling+light

This way you'll save money on the can and the surface light will act as a seal to seal any air leaks. Don't have to worry about stupid ic rated or non-ic rated can.

Had to comment. I got the led downlights back when they were $30-$40 a piece. Granted, I got name brand, but still....anyway, they were worth every penny. Not just for the lighting, but the clean, flat, bulb-free look!

I've seen deals like this on here before and was silent, but if these are really 1100 lumens, this is an amazing deal.
You're not gonna find much more than 1200 lumens in a recessed led fixture before they get weird. And definitely get dimmer switches, LEDs dim quite well.

EDIT: just noticed these are 5000k. Go ahead and spend the extra $10 for 3000k or wait for another deal. Unless you're doing your garage or basement.
