The mini projector is a neat party trick and all, but their $799 pricing for the Z2 Force makes it extremely hard to recommend. The battery is much smaller than last year's model, and Lenovorola has a pretty non-existent track record of delivering Android updates.

Considering you have to trip over yourself to pay more than $575 for a Galaxy S8, I'm not sure who's in the market to purchase this phone for $800.

Right now, until August 9th, Verizon is selling it for $15/month, putting it at $360. I don't think that's a bad deal for a new phone with a Snapdragon 835, shatterproof screen, and a projector thrown in. After the 9th when the $15/month goes away, yea, good luck selling this.

As a person who's been arguing with Lenovorola over my rewardpromo coupon for a free JBL mod, I strongly advise anyone against taking part in this promotion. One year ago, Motorola just added a battery mod to your order without this promotion redemption system. Now, you upload your info, Moto sits on it for two weeks, and then says you're "non-compliant" with an inaccurate explanation right before they close the promo period altogether. You could maybe get $200-250 for the projector, reducing the cost of this overpriced phone, but since it's not entirely clear Moto will honor their own promotion I'd recommend passing on this one. Remember when Motorola was an awesome company?

And essentially locking you into a two year contract with Verizon unless you want to pay a hefty price (much more than just $15/month) if you choose to leave Verizon.

Buying directly from them shows this priced at $720 before tax for the phone, I looked at the specs was expecting at least 128gb and 6gb of ram but nope. All this has over the last year model by the looks of it is the new CPU. I really like this phone cause of the mods but hard to recommend at this price point over a second hand pixel or s7. Mods im interested is the projector and the camera mod. Last year the camera mod sucked so I wonder how this one is going to be reviewed.

I "member" when Motorola was great.

That was when it was an American company.

America was great when American companies put Americans first.

But now we have to deal with shitty foreign companies and shitty foreign customer service, as well as a shitty invasion by foreigners and shitty state-mandated modern-day blockbusting, all because companies and the public officials they pay off all put profit above Americans.

Literally everything is getting worse as demographic and ideological diversity fractures and drags down society to the point where we can't even agree on or unite against anything, let alone deal with companies who do business in the US at the pleasure of a democratically elected but apparently non-representative government and yet who fail to serve American interests first and foremost.

Now shut up enjoy your $800 phone with a $600+ profit margin that they sell in Hong Kong for pennies on the dollar, with a promo they won't honor because you're not going to go all the way to China just to tell them off, all while complaining to a your friendly neighborhood CS rep "Pajeet" who gets paid $5 a day to sit around reading from a script and playing Angry Birds because you won't fly all the way to India just to give him a piece of your mind.

I'll just be over here with my my cozy confederate-themed safety blanket and memories of when phones (both wired and mobile) could last at least 2 to 3 years, and which came free with your postpaid plan back before outrageous price creep made it too economically unsound.

Oh, yeah, and this is totally a bad deal.

Even a Galaxy S8 or an iPhone would be a better investment (before even getting into the BOGO deals), as the resale market for a phone nobody's really excited about probably isn't that lucrative.
Rep given. Applause

Sure. It was still great as recently as a couple years ago (i.e. before Lenovo bought it). But even without the horror stories about actually getting your free mod, this is just an objectively terrible phone. Way smaller battery, still no headphone jack (and not for a decent reason like waterproofing or a bigger battery. They just didn't feel like including one) and an obscene price. If you know you'll be with Verizon for the next 2 years and feel like picking one up for $15/month on device payments then I guess it's a decent price for the specs, but it's still a terrible phone and I hope the market punishes Lenovo for it's hubris/stupidity/whatever-drove-them-to-release-this-crap.

If it wasn't for their great signal reception I would've left AT&T. They never have good deals on new phones like when Verizon head Google pixel for $10 a month or when T-Mobile has them buy one get one free

You're right about a lot of things here. I know which SAD users are gonna thumb this down. But almost all of what you've said is true and I am from India. The companies will keep outsourcing jobs because th profits out weight lost customers. Only way they won't is if the govt steps in and mandates how much outsourcing they can do.

Regardless of actual intent, well actually, in compete regard of six intent, be it either completely authentic or brilliantly sarcastic, it's just damn well written. I do not have a dog in this fight but I tip my hat to you anyways for a compelling read.
I just can't tell sarcasm and irony from sincerity anymore on the internet when the author writes competently if not expertly... you even have paragraph formatting.

Here's where you have stumped me: you're a fairly new poster, 38 rep. , and the new crop of members are a mouthy bunch but "those" members usually max at 10 rep. (probably given to themselves from dummy accounts).
Your numbers and command of the cell market as a macro economy are pretty bang on... but the "Confederate flag" and xenophobic remarks are a bit overly written; I'm not making a critique or statement of the flag, the meaning or even xenophobia being good or bad.
My critique is there's so much lucidity in your writing that to end with the southern stereotype in such a manner that you are either being ironic/sarcastic about the other members comment, or you're just being blatantly challenging someone to call you a racist, AGAIN, I'm not even making a case FOR or AGAINST Rascists, just that you're too self aware to hit those nuclear buttons of Internet words without it being a statement of some kind.

Bravo either way.

Quick edit. The shortening of remember to "member" with perfect grammar was the giveaway is what made me invest in your post... that and the name "Rawdeal"... it's just too on the nose lol

I want to give you rep badly but I don't want to go on record as being anything but neutral on your politics, real or hyperbole, just rep. for the writing Wink

The price will drop like a dead bird in a few months. Companies like Motorola, Sony should stick to making sub $500 phones unless they have a real game changer on their hands. This definitely doesn't look like one.
