Massdrop has the Kanetsugu Damascus Full Tang Kitchen knives starting at $64.99. Beautifully crafted knives

Named after a legendary 16th-century Japanese samurai, Kanetsugu Saiun Damascus Kitchen Knives are handcrafted in Seki City—the cutlery hub of Japan. Each knife in the set is made from a cobalt VG-10 steel core that is forged with 33-layer Damascus. The convex Hamaguri-ba edge geometry delivers impressive cutting performance for a variety of kitchen tasks. The handle is made from smooth, wood-grain black linen micarta, which is resistant to water and changes in temperature. The scales are secured with flush stainless steel bolsters for a smooth grip. A thin red microfiber spacer adds a hint of color to complement the overall aesthetic.

Genuinely curious, what sets these knives apart from other VG10 knives? Or SG2 knives/Shun's VG-MAX? Am confused the why these prices are almost the same as other similar or better high end knives
