It doesn't say egift on there. It just shows it in their ad. Where did you get egift from?

I can also confirm that this is in-store only unless it's not active until later today. It didn't work online.

Do these work also to buy games on the Wii virtual console? or is this only for Wii U and switch?

If switch actually allowed older wii/wii u games to be downloaded to the switch, I would be all over this.

It really depends on the store. Some Gamestops will let you and others won't.

That will never ever happen because Nintendon't play that, but it would be really cool since the discerning gamer skipped the Wii U. It'd be nice to play the 5 or 6 worthy games that came out for it. Just gotta hope for Remasters at this point.

When I went into store they tried to lie to me and say that it wouldn't work on switch titles and suggested I buy the physical copy... don't fall for that shit just grab the gift cards off the shelves they'll work fine on the switch

Their weekly ad sucks, doesn't even state in-store only or not but if you click it, it goes to the online nintendo shop egift card page (download only), so it was assumed. Weekly ad should've stated in-store only and made it not clickable link bringing us to the online digital download page to buy the $50 eshop card.

At the 6 stores here in Vegas and 1 in Orlando all of them accepted my gift cards I bought on card cash and loaded into my Androidpay to buy other gift cards. I love buying gift cards at 10% off and I have done it when they offered $10 off after buying $100 of Google play gift cards or $5 store credit for buying $20 of Uber credit

One gripe I have with buying the digital games for Switch is that it takes up a lot of hard drive space. Unlike Xbox and ps4, you don't have to download the data from the physical copy to play it. The only thing on the hard drive is game save data
Hard drive? The Switch doesn't have a hard drive. Yeah sure, the primary drive is about 25 GB but you can always use a SDHC/SDXC card to expand off of that (currently allowing up to an additional 240 GB for your save game data and other content). Plus the Switch can archive digital games taking up too much space while leaving your save data intact. You can also redownload Switch games you've downloaded via eShop (same is true for Wii U and 3DS). This is a great deal. I'm in for an eShop card. Thanks Mangaza!
