Orca fans: The whales are huge and look cool but are somewhat useless as anything other than pool decorations. You can put you kid on them but they won't stay on them longer than a few seconds before they tip over.

Fun to look at, not really "rideable".

Just got the river run tube a few weeks ago, its well made and comfortable. I believe academy sports has them for about the same price if you don't want to wait for the shipping.

Those tubes are awesome and perfect for that price. I bought mine for $21 and it's well worth the price.

CamelX3 alerted me to the River Run I, OP beat me to the post nod

An alternative is the Ozark Trail Rapid Rider I for $11.88 (every day price) from Walmart: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ozark-...I/55350432

It's not sold online, though, and only certain stores carry them. The one near me does and I picked them up a couple of weeks ago. You can check your store for inventory using SKU 55350432: https://brickseek.com/walmart-inventory-checker/

Haven't used them, yet, but planning on taking them out this weekend.

I'm going to get yelled at for hogging the pool, but I had to buy that swan.

Quite a few used ones being sold by Amazon Warehouse (for less than these sale prices) and the bad seam reviews made me change my mind on getting some of these.

Should I get the swan as well? I don't have a pool but for the river?

It seems like a very good price for a large float (previous low on Amazon was $25), so go for it! Lots of room to float.

These are very reliable.

We have a pretty solid river tubing setup ( 10 individuals, 5 doubles - all with backrests , 2 swans, 3 floating coolers, s-hooks, waterproof phone cases, air mattress and rafts for the dogs, waterproof speaker, 3 mesh trash bags ) and we go at least 12-15 times a summer.

We've gone back and forth for a few years on tube brands and types, and ultimately keep coming back to these for the singles. They survive the rocks of the Chattahoochee very well and are extremely comfortable.

I think people have unrealistic expectations with tubes. A $20 tube that lasts a 5 trips down the river is a great tube, especially consider it's nearly impossible to rent one for less that $20.

Side note about the swans... you're not actually in the water like with tubes. I know this is kind of obvious, but a lot of people fail to connect how much warmer it gets than when you're in a tube.

TL / DR - Buy the tubes.
