These Chinese commodity items are always available with Prime shipping for under $9 without the silly affiliate linked coupon code games where they raise the price before taking it back down with the code.

For those interested... this set is Chrome Vanadium, Magnetized vs. Nickel Plated Steel and non-magnetic (ebay one). So, $1.68 more than the US one

Ah yes, how could I have overlooked "Every batch head has magnetic, effectively absorb screw." Color me unimpressed by any of these Cheap Chinese tool offerings.

Can you guys recommend a better quality set with extension bits and whatnot? I need a kit like this for working on stereo receivers and other electronics.

What about this gem? "Come with 42pcs multi size bits to fit almost phone in the market." or "When you repair your device, the screws will not falling."

They even tell you how to spot a counterfeit product to their own counterfeit product. WIN-WIN

I agree and will add that it's usually the merchant or some other person who receives an incentive to post the "deal."

when I was propositioned I was offered free products and $100 per deal to post these kind of deals. Of course I turned them down but this will give you an idea of what these companies are offering. They were pretty confused because apparently most people they reach out to here take the money and they said. "We already have several "employees" working Slickdeals. "

I haven't heard horrible things about the Ifixit Pro Tech Toolkit. It got a similair kit (as the one on Amazon) at Frys for $10, and to be honest I don't see how there can be higher or lower quality. It's not like the bits are going to break or anything. The bits either fit the screws or they don't, and they fit. Maybe one is stronger magnetized than the other?

If you were looking for automotive tools or soldering equipment then quality matters, but for small electronics unless you like the carrying case just buy whatever you need ad hoc.
