Good price for a "retail" seller, this is what they usually go for on eBay on sale "new with a warranty".
I think most of us will also need to add tax to this amount.

Remember this does not have a Heart Rate monitor, you'll need to use/buy a separate one if you need HR tracking.

Wrist based heart rate monitoring sucks anyway. I own a few TomTom's, a Fitbit Blaze, and Fitbit Surge. Always compare them to my chest straps and the Treadmill's palm monitoring. The wrist ones are always inconsistent, while the palm and chest straps are usually in sync. And yes I wear the watches correctly; more further up the wrist.

Bought this from Beach Camera via JET last week under a different promo code for $5 more but regardless, received it quickly and works as intended. A little more lighter weight than the HR monitor version my wife has, so felt a bit cheap at first.

yes and no. IT depends on how you wear your watch. I wear my watch lose so it sucks. if you wear your watch firm away from your wrist bone its as accurate as anything else.

I had the 230 (got the 935 now) and its a great watch. Great battery life.
3 things. Get a screen protector. For heart rate, I liked the schosche rythym plus. Get a screen protector.

1 other note. If you wear it 24/7 the band will likely wear out in a year. But the band is replaceable. I replaced it with the 630 band which I thought was softer and more comfortable.

Bought this during garmin sale on ebay last month.
Love the watch so far.
Opted for this over Fitbit blaze.
Pros -
1. Access to connect IQ store, which has some good training apps. I use "Gym Genius" to setup my workouts
2. Wonderful battery life
3. Great for runners. GPS signal catches fast
4. Some nice training workouts in garmin connect to prepare for marathons, if you're into running
5. Ability to customize watch faces from connect IQ
6. Smart notifications from whatsapp, email, calls, SMS etc.

Cons -
1. Display not vivid. Seems a bit dull compared to blaze
2. No HR monitor. Though inaccurate in other devices, its a nice feature to have
3. No touch screen though I don't really need it in a watch
4. Garmin connect software not as good as Fitbit's

Overall, I like the watch. If you're a runner or want to get into running, this is way better than Fitbits.

The wrist one is always with you. Good for constant heart rate monitoring. Plus what if you decide to go on a run without a chest strap nearby?

No touch screen is no issue. Honestly, after having my 735XT, I question why I'd even want one in my fitness watch. Battery life is amazing. Blows away the competition.

all good points. I will respond to a couple.
1. They will the watch for sunlight readability. It is super clear in the sun Its a choice, works well in the dark or the sun. They picked the sun.
2. true.
3. I don't like the touch screen. The 630 has it has nothing but complaints.
4. very true. Garmin needs more analytics and graph options. Connect is behind the others.

I am an avid runner so I would obviously use it for that but is it also meant for daily wear while not working out?

I know this is a running watch, but anyone know if there are any golf features or add-ons?

how is the battery charged?

does it require smartphone connectivity to work or is the GPS built-in?
