Looks like OR too.

Pax vapes are great, not sure what this one is about with the pods.

Pax has been trying to push this ecosystem solution for some time. Problem is that their cartridges are 30-60% more than more standard 510 threaded cartridges. Also Pax has been doing 'traveling van' specials around Denver dispensaries to get this pen for $1 with purchase of a cartridge.

"One of the best personal Vaporizers on the market"??? I got a chuckle on that one. Not even their bread and butter $275 Pax 3 unit can support this statement. Most marketed vaporizer? Yeah that would make sense......

Ok need the following.....budget you can afford, material you would like to vaporize (dry herb/concentrates/e-liquid), power source preferred (internal battery, removable battery, torch) and style- on demand- which is take a rip, set it down and come back later for another rip or session- turn it on and keeps cooking until you turn it off.

Get a cheap spinner 2 off of eBay for like $10. Battery life is insane and the 4 temp settings work great

...and what would you say is the best portable vape on the market? I have had all 3 PAX and can't find anything as slim, discreet, and reliable as the PAX. I've tried MFLB, FireFly,& DaVinci and didn't find them to be any better.
However, I would never buy one of these ERA things. I'll just use a standard 510 thread and my spinner battery.

Budget: ~$100 for everything I guess?
Material: anything that will help me get to sleep
Power source: no preference.
Style: probably on demand from what you are describing

I owned a Pax way back in the day. It's the vape that converted me from combustion so there is that. And yeah if you value discretion and a sexy "apple like" device then the Pax fits the bill. But when it comes to vapor quality, conduction (heated by baking) is inferior to convection (heated by hot air) when it comes to taste and efficiency. Many convection vaporizers are also on demand which further enhances the taste longevity and efficiency. So that's where the vaporizer industry is going right now.

Best is subjective but it really depends on what the user wants and how they will use the vape. To point you in the direction you would probably need to answer the same questions I posted above.

This is the guy I got the spinner 2 pen/battery from, $10 is a good price

It's on demand and you can buy any 510 thread cartridge. Here I pay $40 for 1 gram cartridges

Edit: actually the cartridges are $45 but I buy a big one with 3 grams for $110 that refills my empties

One of the best values on the market right now is the "M" from Dynavap. It's only $50 and can be used with dry herb or concentrates (with hemp fiber). It's on demand since it's heated by a torch. This is Conduction, not convection but since it's on demand and only using up your goodies when the heat is applied, it is still quite efficient. If you want a decent quality on demand, battery operated convection unit you really need to open up the budget a bit to around $150-200. There are several I could recommend but my favorite is the Milaana by RastaBuddahTao. If you want something super stealthy like the Pax but is convection and battery operated can look at the Grasshopper which looks like a pen. Drawback on that one is some reliability issues, battery life and the vapor can be hot and harsh until you know what you are doing.

Yeah there are plenty of cheap options if you live in areas where cartridges are available (certainly more accessible and better value than this here Pax era), but if you don't live in those areas then this is not a great option.

Another good 510 option that is on the less expensive side are the Divine Tribe tanks for concentrates and dry herb. You just need a cheap mod box to run them but to the untrained eye they look like juice tanks which makes them pretty discreet.

For me, the discreet is what makes it. I've hit it in bars and clubs without looking suspicious. It just seems these other vapes like MFLB & FireFly keep that "pipe" design going and it feels less "anonymous" when used in public spaces.
