With the student coupon, this machine goes down to $425. It's a great laptop for the money, except for that darn right shift key. IMHO, it's better than the 12" Samsung for $375....

Please fact check. Douglas Engelbart invented the mouse. A few others in your list were also invented...not by Apple.

I'm both a Windows and Mac/Apple user.

I still dislike the way they relabeled the Core M processor line. The deal title made me think this had a better CPU.

Thank them also for WYSIWYG, the mouse, a graphical user interface, the 3.5 inch floppy drive, laser printers, touch display cell phones and tablets, domination of the greedy cell signal carriers, long battery life, well written code, very few security concerns, an efficient and beautiful CODEC, ultra fast SSD's, professional build quality, portable form factors, simple interoperability, laptops that run Windows better than Windows machines, revival of the music industry via iTunes and the iPod, enabling virtually every major motion picture and TV program in its content creation, helping to slowly cut-out the greedy TV providers with Apple TV, and for creating hardware products that depreciate perhaps only 10% or so after the first year. And for giving every other technology firm a standard to try and emulate.

Yes, thank you Apple for dragging us kicking and screaming into modernity.
I hate you.
