I would not waive anything about returns on this panel knowing how picky most people are.

I have one of these. Mine didn't have any backlight bleed or dead pixels. It's an AMAZING monitor. Only monitor I'd rather have is the 34" ultrawide 100hz

True, but I've been eyeing this exact model though. Have there been quality issues with dead pixels on this monitor?

Or are you referring to people who are experimenting with this monitor for the first time?

Less of the pixel issues(but there are some obviously)but there are backlight bleed issues with a number of these. I really don't care much at all about BLB and even for me I've taken 2 of these back in the past because of it. When it's bad, it's extremely bad.

Bought this refurb direct from Acer. Amazing monitor but this is not a discounted price by any means

I actually thought the same until I bought a X34 to compare against this monitor. The X34 is harder to calibrate, has SIGNIFICANTLY worse backlight bleed and IPS glow, harder to get a high FPS on, and you can feel the difference in 100Hz vs 165Hz. I returned the X34 and don't miss it. The current ultrawide panels are just not good enough considering the price.

Also, FPS games are not good in 21:9, even if they support it. The edges look all stretched and weird; I prefer not seeing it.

Is this worth it over the refurb sales? How does this compare to the Asus G-Sync/IPS/27"/1440p offering?
