Great game but probably won't be supported under iOS11 since it's 32bit..

It's sad when it's better to run an emulator and play the game vs the native version.

It already plays very poorly on my iPad Pro 10.5.

One of the best games of all time, but buyer beware.

Can someone who has the game clarify for me whether the max number of characters has been expanded?

When the port/remake was originally announced for the PSP, I remember hearing that the 5-char battle limit would be increased--which would be great, because it's hard to justify bringing a Chocobo into battle and wasting 20% of your team to be someone's mount. But I've not seen it mentioned in any of the reviews for either the PSP or iOS ports.

Rivals VI as my favorite FF game, but I've never played it on iOS. Would love a Switch port/remake...

Same, top 3 Square games are FF6, FFTactics, and Xenogears.

I wish this port is better though, and they would port the GBA "sequels" FFT advanced over too, I massively enjoyed that on emulator back in the days.

If I wrote an Android app I'd do that too, unless you enjoy working for free when it gets massively pirated.
That's silly though; there are plenty of mobile games without always-on DRM. This also means you can't play the game while commuting underground

Valid point, but piracy is a real problem for Android. If a developer didn't do this, then didn't make enough for future releases, the developer leaves the platform and no more *insert fave franchise here* on the platform.

I don't think 32bit limit kicks in with iOS11. I thought you get an additional year before Apple clamps down. They will likely update the game by then.
Definitely kicks in with iOS 11. Also, this won't get updated. This is a last ditch effort to sell people a dead app.
