For those that missed the rockstar m3 for 60.

I bought this last year from level9 and it served me well for the season.

25 bucks more than the rockstar if you take tax into account.

Also m3 discord for 99

You say 89 shipped, but I'm seeing $7 shipping charge.

Too bad the Rossignol only available in 154cm

excellent find! Thanks!!!

since you bought this board, can you tell me whether the Rossignol Trickstick Amptek RSP Snowboard has a flat base or is it camber shape? Description says it has camber between the feet which I think it's easier to each edge and might not be good for beginner, true or not?

Oh you're right. It was free shipping when I ordered last year. They must have upped the free shipping minimum. Sorry about that!

I'll update the title.

It's hard to tell just looking at the board without standing on it but it's supposed to have hybrid camber design which is perfect for beginners.

I'm new to this, are the optional bindings a good deal or should I buy bindings somewhere else? Went snowboarding once and now live up north so will go a lot this winter, thanks in advance

Nose and tail protectors look kind of... hmm... not a fan. The old-style metal plates looked like you were getting extra details... these look like a way to hide that it's not a 360 edge. (You don't need an edge at the tips, but that does help prevent the tip of a rail getting knocked out by hitting something).

The protectors appear to wrap around on the bottom too... goofy. So if you land wrong and try to ride out a wheelie you're dragging that lip?

If you're new then bindings don't really matter. I would get the cheapest ones you can find as you will upgrade relatively quickly. In fact if you're new nothing really matters except for getting comfortable boots and a board that's not too short. All cheap boards will be beginner boards. I wouldn't get caught up in all the details until you can get your turns down. By then you should have a good idea of what you will be looking to upgrade into the next season and that's where you should spend your money.

I got a pair of the 20 dollar Kmart ones for visitors and would have bought them for myself last year if they were available. I ended up buying flow bindings and would like to upgrade but can't because I paid so much for them. Don't make the same mistake I did!

Bindings under 50 are a good deal imo. Look in women's section for boards/bindings. They are normally a bit cheaper since a larger proportion of women pick skiing when they get up to the mountain.

I agree but it's a beginners board. Shouldn't be shredding down the mountain in it lol. It's unstable at high speeds. Why I fractured a rib last season. Beginners should get a cheap board and save money for the better intermediate/advanced boards later.

There are good beginner boards like the metal gnuru from gnu that will last through the blues but it's like 300+.

Better to get the cheapest beginner board you can then upgrade to an intermediate/advanced board later that will perform better on the blues and will take you into the blacks. Run you 100+3-400 later vs 300 now then another 3-400 later.

Also the m3 discord for 99 looks better imo and I'd prob pick it over the rossgnol.

That's what I was getting at... I just received an M3 from the Rockstar thread and while it's probably no Burton... I was shocked at how nice it is. I can't use it regardless since I need wide... but for any normal folks I'd highly recommend something like that in the same price-range. I mentioned the tip/tail detail for those who may order w/o thinking it through... I think this board will say "beginner".
