I just bought a Stanley 40" 5 Drawer Tool Chest at Wal-Mart for $89 (was $249, then $174, now $89). The associate who helped me said they have had all kinds of Stanley tool chests and cabinets on clearance for the last 3 days. I got the last one in my store. Check your local store! YMMV.
I got one of these (link is for reference only, deal is in store):

I really hope these are higher quality than the last stanley tool chest I bought front there. Super flimsy.

How do these stack up? Worth it or will it fall apart?

Actually a decent deal... Do they go together or are they completely independent of each other

The one I bought seems to be the same quality as all the other tool chests I see in every other store. Doesn't feel flimsy at all. The box said it weighs 110 lbs. I think it should last a long time. Not sure if the drawers are soft close, but they do slow down for the last inch when closing.

Can I haul the big one with casters in the back seat of a sedan? How big is the box it comes in?

Just by the weight alone, it's definitely heavier duty than the one I ended up with.
