Obviously these aren't Eneloops or Ikea rechargeables. But at .25 each, they're fine for solar landscape lighting which are constantly outside, trickle charging, where you don't want better expensive batteries. The mail in rebate is a store credit, so unless you have a local Menard's, I wouldn't advise buying these via shipping.

ive been using tenegry aaa batteries in the solar lights; they are going on 3+ years now. They are a bit discolored from the extreme heat and cold, but i roll them once a yer to make sure there is good contact.

Iirc most rechargables I have for general use are ~2000mah, so I wouldn't buy these unless for very low power usage

The good news, rebate form says no limit. But those not in habit of shopping at Menards might not like that the rebate is in a form of store credit and cannot be used at their website. Plus store pick-up is not free.

Update, I picked up 6 packs. Cleaned up my solar lights. Found out 5 of 24 were dead. These batteries are pre charged and light up well. For $6, if I get two seasons I'll be happy. I will bring them inside this time for winter.

I'd request you adjust title.
store credit is not the same as cash - it's not $1 after rebate. It's $4.99 with a $4 "merchandise credit check which may only be redeemed in store"
