I take this to a college class everyday. I can plug it in under my desk halfway through class and have food ready for lunch when class is over. I usually heat chicken; teriyaki, ginger, mesquite, garlic, or lemon pepper. The people sitting right beside me can't smell that I am heating up food. I have taken this to the library and had no issues being very covert about heating food and eating it during long study sessions. I am purchasing more, so my study partners don't slow me down with their weak need to leave to eat. I can't recommend this thing enough.

This is a great idea! I'm a teacher, and I can plug this in in my classroom. Since I only get 25 minutes for lunch, I hate having to wait to heat things up!!

Excellent crock pot. I use it all the time for soups, and beans. I also love getting my friends and family hooked on using crock pots. They also save so much time!

I have and use one at the office, and like it, versus nuking my food in the microwave. I do have to mention that the newer deluxe edition has a better design, including the removable heating plate:

It is, however, the cost of three of this first-gen model. OMG

They work very well. Bought three the last time they were on sale. Just make sure when transporting them to keep them upright.

Are you speaking of when the car is running or not running? If running no issue using this inverter https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0...ZK09&psc=1

If not running your battery will start draining. I've used this one before with those crockpots.
