This is only the second time I have seen a price reduction on this receiver. Price history attached.

The like-new version is an Amazon Warehouse Deal for $448.20. *NLA*

The new version is available from Amazon as well as Prime eligible seller 'WORLD WIDE STEREO' for $498. Choosing the latter may show up with zero tax in eligible states.
Other stores like Best Buy, B&H Photo & Video etc. may also carry the reduced pricing.

This receiver has almost all the new technologies including Google Home based voice control.

Update
Now also available from Newegg for $498 - $25 = $473 using the MasterPass Checkout coupon code MPBTS17 (Will not work via any other payment modes).
Once again, choosing seller 'WORLD WIDE STEREO' may show up with zero tax at checkout, in eligible states.

How does it compared to Denon x2300 or Yamaha 770?

Out of curiosity, because I'm a Noob. how did you decide on a specific receiver?

Yeah, I was looking at receivers about a month ago, and this was $500 at Best Buy and Amazon then as well.

Welcome to home theater noob land! Smilie I'm here too lol.

It all depends on what you want/need for your setup. Usually I read through comments on a variety of receivers that pop up on SD. Based on what people say about pros vs cons about certain receivers, and how much of a deal it actually is.

The 3300 (hopefully) is going on sale soon. (I think it was a while back. Don't remember). It works for my needs (and has the features I'm looking for) and if it does go on sale it may be an awesome deal.

Fingers crossed!
Sorry for typing so much Big Grin

Thats what I have shown in the price chart. It's only the second time that the price has fallen, but the last time, it rose back to $599 again.

The Yamaha is better , I'm not a fan of this receiver and traded my A750 for it so I could have HDMI 2.2. Sony's in screen interface is disruptive if you're trying to adjust while watching tv among other issues. Go Yamaha for sure

The x3300 has been on sale for $599 for about a month now. Not sure what your definition of sale might be. But this one was $999 not long ago.
