Priceline has flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to New Delhi (DEL) India for $360 or less (as little as $338) round trip on China Eastern Airlines.

Various searches appear to show availability for many dates between August and December of 2017. This is one hell of a deal to go basically on the other side of the world.

China Eastern is a SkyTeam partner, and in my experience uses a modern fleet and has pretty decent food options. Includes free checked baggage as well. Stopover in Shanghai, China.

That's pure and utter BS. China Eastern is better than pretty much all US airlines. From personal experience they are fine. Decent seats, decent planes, decent food, decent entertainment and decent service. The only knock I'll give them is that their free wifi is a little slow. Serviceable for email or SD, not good for video. But free is free.

That's my opinion. Here's everyone else's. They are 5/10. In comparison United is 3/10.
