Incase I don't wanna use my headphones, don't have deskspace for speakers, and just wanna watch a YouTube video or show someone something once in a blue moon. Not everyone is listening to their FLAC audio files or 4k 7.1 SS movies with them.

They are handy for system sounds/alerts in a business application. Other than that I agree.

Why do they even bother putting speakers in a monitor? They all sound like complete shit.

I have 3 of these 27" that I got for the same price earlier this year. I have been really happy with them, especially for the price.

Why not? I don't mind extra stuff, moreover, I use computer monitor to play games sometimes and I don't need awesome sound, all I need is sound, and I hate setting up extra speakers for monitors.
