at $29, you will want if for $10

at $10 you will want it free

What's holding you back? Although the Vive has a tracking system that is simpler to setup up, the Rift has built in headphones and better ergonomics out of the box. At half the price of the Vive, it seems like a no brainer to me.

This. I've used both, and while I liked the vive better (rift didn't have touch controls at the time) it's not worth almost double the price (in my opinion). I'm happy with the rift I got on prime day and don't regret the extra 400$ in my wallet.

Ditto on buying it on eBay Newegg. If you're in the west coast and have the Amex $30 statement credit for Bestbuy, you still have an hour as of this post to stop by BB to buy a $300 eBay gift card. Use that to pay for the Rift on eBay and you will have saved another $30.

I wound up returning my Rift. I found it very uncomfortable. No matter how I adjusted the optics, it always seemed just slightly out of focus and my eyes would strain before too long.

Don't have those problems with the Vive.

I realize that's just me and it's a different experience for everyone, but for me the Vive was worth the extra cost.

Though you'd think with these sales of the Rift Valve/HTC will almost have to drop their price soon.
