Product has a "D" rating on Fakespot, giving it an adjusted rating of 2 stars out of 5. Here's the link: http://fakespot.com/product/aukey...top-3-fans.

Not everyone trusts Fakespot's analysis, so take this information any way you like. - hamirmahal

So they work... It's not like these are internal liquid coolers with direct contact heat pipes. They're external fans that are drawing the hot air that your INTERNAL laptop fans are already pushing out.

I gotta say the 2nd bulkier model looks so Over the top aesthetically lol one Amz review describes it as a throne for his laptop.

I wonder if that 2 fan model is actually better at air circulation than the 4 fan one. Someone math me with the equations thx.

I bought this a few years ago.. It does not do that great job of cooling your Laptop when it works...1 month later 2 fans died..

So take that as you will.

The product description also lists it as "Laptop Cooling Throne".

With these kind of products, the majority of the cooling will come from the elevation and not the fans itself. Plugging in the fan to the laptop will generate some heat in order to power the fans, so it would be better to use an external power source. Even if it didn't have fans, the stand itself for $10 is a decent deal imo. AmazonBasics mesh laptop stand costs $15 on sale for reference.

Fake Spot company rating D, products ratings C-D..... I need 2 fans for my kids laptops, would anyone recommend a solid buy not too expensive version? Thank you :-)
I can't speak on these coolers, but I've done really well with aukey in the past so I'm in 4 1. Hard to beat at these prices imho, getting the 4 fan adjustable. Tu, and thanks op!

Snagged one - my old cooler master one got bent up in some luggage and the laptop doesn't sit against it correctly anymore

These type of fan are not effective at all. I have bought several over the years and they will drop the temp by a few degree at most.

I wish they had one without the blue LEDs. I need one to cool my router but don't need the blue lights keeping me up at night.

This!^^^^ We (me and other half) tend to use our laptops in bed, we use pillows as lap pads. These adjustable coolers on a pillow will rock, especially at this price.

From an unbiased perspective, do these things work efficiently? I never owned one, but my friends did. They'd always crap out within 1 year.
