I just got this Echo chain saw from a local store in Houston 2 weeks ago. Regular price is $299 but I got it for $150 plus 10% off cause there's a hole on the packaging but everything inside is brand new.

Been busy with work so I couldn't post it earlier but I hope you can find it at your local Home depot store. This is a very good and powerful battery chain saw. I love it.

Good luck!

OP, good heads-up, but probably extreme YMMV. That said, will definitely take a look next trip to HD.

I see a lot in-stock by me showing up as $299 online. Will need to look next time I'm in-store to see if on clearance in-store.

I got the Hedge trimmer for half off a couple weeks ago. I have the chainsaw and weedeater they both do a pretty good job. I returned the blower it was way underpowered.

Huh. I think your post is the first one I've read that says that the Ego blower is underpowered. Are you referring to runtime or actual cfm/mph?

No the Echo 58v blower that uses the same battery as this post chainsaw. It would move debris of a driveway but that's about it. Seemed to be half the power of my Stihl entry level gas blower so I returned it.

Gah. For some reason I parsed "Echo" as "Ego". Different brands. Smilie
