For some reason, I love mini projectors, and this is about the smallest I've seen, but I wasn't going to spend $100 for one. However around $30 I figured I'd give it a shot, even as used ones are being listed on eBay for much more.

Don't expect miracles for this size...it's something like 5 lumens, low resolution, and only micro hdmi input, but I figure hooking it up to a tablet will make a fun little setup for entertaining my daughter.

Amazon [amazon.com] had lower shipping cost for me

Hah, just copied that over from the manual [brookstone.com] and didn't even look at that. At least they're not claiming 1000 lumens like a lot of cheap projectors try to do!

Title is a bit unclear. I read it as 'protector'. I expected to come into this thread and find some novel armor for my car keys or something.

I love mini projector because it's small, lightweight and easy to carry anywhere I need a presentation. Bought one recently (not this model in the deal) which shows my presentation clearly on the screen but blurred text content at the top and bottom making this useless.
Looking for the one that is tiny but meets my needs.

Anyone can confirm if this Keychain projector good to view text on the 5'x5' screen?

At this low resolution, I wouldn't count on text being legible. I haven't seen anything this small with much higher resolution, but going a little bigger in size can bump it up, like the AAXA LED Pico Projector for about 3x this price.

This is more in the toy category, which I feel the $30 price tag matches, vs. its historic $100 price, but I doubt we'll see the high rez/high brightness for $30 which some seem to be expecting.

My Moto z play projector is 50 lumens. It's decent. Can't imagine how 5 lumens would be like

Went down to 15 bucks! on http://www.brookstone.com/pd/broo...7994p.html

It's not perfect but it suprised me and is better than I expected with decent sound quality. There is a 60 day return policy so it's worth checking out!
