Torguard VPN Service 55% off additional/new orders when you attempt to cancel

I just tried to cancel my Torguard service (long story) and on the cancel page it showed:

Requesting Cancellation for: Anonymous Proxy - Anonymous Proxy
Finding it hard to pay your bill?
We understand, these things happen in life - we have generated a personal code to give a 55% recurring discount just for you, you can apply it to all current invoices - XXXXXXXX- we hope this will make things a little easier for you, especially at this time of the year Smilie

On the Home page, click on the "Management Actions" button next to the service you have and select "Request Cancellation". On the next page it provides the code even before you hit "Request Cancellation" button, so you don't actually have to cancel your service.

The code provided seems to work for any new services you get. Just add the code to on the cart/checkout page.

I don't recall, but as you can see your code is a generic code not a unique code. Did you go through the process and get a code and the apply it at check out? See attached image in OP for how it looks.

The deal was meant to be for those that already have service and were looking to renew at cheaper rate, however it can be manufactured as below:

1) Buy cheap service:
Anonymous Proxy - Anonymous Proxy

$5.95USD
Subtotal $5.95USD
50% Recurring Discount $2.98USD
Total Due Today $2.97USD
Total Recurring - $2.97USD
Monthly

2) Cancel, get code.

3) Buy 2 year Anonymous VPN and use personal code.

4) Cancel Anonymous Proxy and get refunded.

The generic I posted is 50% , the one you posted is 55%. My point is it is an extra 5% which is a few bucks.
