Always nice to include a link to the product in question, like this:
https://www.kohls.com/product/prd...-hv382.jsp

I'm not familiar wit Kohl's coupons - including where the 30% came from, and what state is currently giving a tax break would be helpful.

Hope you enjoy your new vac. Sounds like you got a good deal.

You could have improved your post by, at a minimum, putting the vacuum model, the store and the final price in the title. For example, "Shark Rocket Duo Clean Corded Vacuum (Model HV3382) at Kohls ($175 after Coupon)." In the post, you could have mentioned the coupon code (FRIENDS30) and included a link to the item on Kohls' website. Finally, you could have mentioned shipping is free (even without a special code) and a buyer will earn $30 in Kohls bucks. Including the state tax break (from your state) in the final price is not helpful because it won't apply to many people. However, you could mentioned the tax savings as a side note along with your State. There are other ways to improve your post...these are just a few suggestions. Look at other posts for examples.

Speak of school tax, anyone knows if I don't have a kid, do I still have to pay school tax for the property? Tx...I did Google, but can't find the answer/reason

As jh9t pointed out, a Kohl's charge card is required for FRIENDS30. You could use SAVE15 but that is only 15% off.

For those asking about sales tax, it just happens to be a sales tax free weekend for some states. https://dealnews.com/features/whe...-weekends/. I live in Ohio and here it is only for things like some clothing, school supplies I think. Pretty sure vacuums have nothing to do with it.

If your county or would be county has a school tax or near a school district, it doesn't matter if you have children or don't. You pay school taxes, although you might want to look into possible exemptions and apply for homestead.

Why does OP deduct sales tax ($17.51) from sale price as another discount ? Should the final price be $175 + tax ? 0% tax is YMMV

yep, still good deal nonetheless. I don't think California is one of the tax free states so this is a little misleading too.

No California is running no tax this weekend. Kohl's gives you 10% extra off for the tax.
