This remote attachment uses IR learning technology to program 8 buttons over multiple devices on one remote. It's clip-on design attaches in a snap and allows you to utilize your streaming remote's voice search feature. - Randy71

My TVs primary remote is a cheap RCA remote, will the sideclick be able to learn from that? Additionally can I configure sideclick to work with my Samsung soundbar?

As long as the RCA remote and soundbar are IR, yes you're in good shape.

Hmm, never seen these before. So this lets me turn my Fire TV remote into something that can turn on the TV and adjust volume and such so I don't have to have 2 remotes?

Are the A and B buttons programmable to whatever I want? I would need to power on my TV and my Tuner so maybe I could use the power button for one and A or B for the other? Or does A and B switch between devices and change all the buttons so I'd do A, Power, B, Power?

Interesting.

Since these are attachments to the remote that came with the devices and not full separate remotes it is highly unlikely to work with any other remotes than the ones they are designed to be attached to.

Bought one of these for Roku the last time they were at this price point, and absolutely love it for our home theater. Programmed one button to turn on the projector, one to turn on the old receiver powering the subwoofer (whose remote I didn't even have), one to turn on the receiver, volume up-and-down for the receiver, one button to select the Roku's input (for times when the kids have been watching DVD or cable), and one to cycle through the sound field settings. So what used to be three remotes and a manual button push is all contained in one hand-held device. It does feel a little weird at first, but you get used to it.

Awesome thanks. Just remembered how cumbersome the other day trying to search for something on the Roku box. This is perfect.
