Are you sure its the newest? I don't see the extra compartment in the back laptop

If you look at the product page (3rd pic down) you can see the laptop zipper

I think they're just using old pictures. The colors are the colors available only for the 2017 version.

Also the description states "The deluxe in travel duffels, the Porter 46 has been updated with the addition of better organization as well as a laptop and a tablet sleeve."

Yeah it's definitely the new one, just using old pics. Click on the castle grey and it shows the new photo.

Also the description/specs match the new one as well.

I did this deal yesterday for the porter 30 and that came out to about $60. Good deal for those who prefer a smaller pack.

The code today30 doesn't seem to work. Anyone else seeing that?
edit: weirdly, it didn't work on my phone; works from my PC however...

I was thinking of getting a new bag for trips and to carry a large DSLR/lens combo. Its 18'' in length with the hood (d500+150-600mm tamron+1.4x tele). Does anyone already have the bag that could confirm whether or not I could squeeze the lens/camera into it? Looks like its 22'' externally...I guess it could go in at an angle. I'll cut up some memory foam to constrain movement/pad the lens...

Thanks!

Does anyone have any real world experience with this backpack traveling outside of the US? When I purchased my last camera bag to travel with, I was encouraged against getting anything with external zippers or accessible pockets. Thus, my camera bag has a large flap that is held down with velcro and a buckle. This looks like an excellent bag, except for the accessibility of the zippered pockets on the back being open to pick pockets. It is possible that this is not even an issue.

I just used this bag for two months in Asia. Best purchase I've made this year. Several air aisa flights and hk express. Was never questioned on weight or having two carry ons. Never checked the bag or had it gate checked. Big enough where I felt like I brought enough for the trip but small enough I didn't bring excess. Even had room for a few souvenirs.

Did you try to fit it underneath the seats in front of you? Wonder how well it fits if I don't go full capacity on it.

Based on the pictures I highly doubt it would fit

BTW - the amex, e*bates, 30% off works for ANY bag over $75...so if you find something for 75 you could get it for around 50
