Lots of people say so but a lot of folks who have purchased from them, from the deals posted here, reported otherwise. I myself has pretty good experience with my Desktop and laptop.

i never understood why they can't allow you to select what GPU chip to put in there, if it was 1070 for 300 bucks more (which I am sure it doesn't cost that much more wholesale) tons of people jump on this. They should just have it as an option...

Because of the design. Laptop is not like a Desktop where u can throw anything without thinking much of power consumption, cooling or the space.
When a Laptop chassis is designed, it is normally designed for a specific amount of power consumption and thermal target. a GTX 1050 Ti has less than half the power consumption than a GTX 1070 and you cannot simply swap a GTX 1050 Ti with a GTX 1070 without redesigning the chassis, cooling solutions, internal Power supply controls, vent etc, which requires extra than just the Graphics card's price.

I've read that too many times on here to take the chance me personally. I love the prices on their deals, spec wise its tough to beat the value, but I don't buy from places where I have to worry about customer service.

Just to be clear, 1050ti at 4GB is not really strong on VR (as the laptop name suggests).
You're not going to get a great experience with one of those. 1060, better but meh. 1070, yes and great.
If you're holding out for a VR laptop (which I am!), wait for another 1070 deal (or pray for a 1080/1080ti deal).

Customer service is absolute shit, side note if there is an issue with the computer they will charge you for free gifts you return, this includes game codes. Cooling was awful on the laptop I bought don't waste your time, buy at your own risk!

Honestly created an account just to warn people, do not buy this!! Cooling is awful and the customer service is horrid, if you decide to return due to an error in the computer they will charge you for any free codes! Had an issue with the cooling returned in 30 day period they charged me for the free game codes.

Thanks for the explanation. Although, I thought they have different variant of this model (Tracer II 15VR) with different GPU and very similar other components & chasis, body, vents, etc but maybe I didn't compare them close enough. Thanks.
