These are amazing speakers. I've seen them for way less, and bought mine for about $10 cheaper, but still... amazing speakers.

It's been almost 20 years, but I'm finally going to own these speakers. I was looking for a deal on them a couple of days ago. I prefer newegg because I would have to create an account with buydig.

Agreed. There's a reason the design hasn't changed in over 12 years. Only problem I had with my set was a bit of audible scratching when adjusting volume on the speaker knobs. Upgraded to a 5.1 Logitech THX system otherwise; no complaints.

This also comes with a $15 gift card and no tax or shipping for most, so it's one of the best deals ever for these speakers.

Technically the design has finally changed, if you look on Best Buy's site, they don't sell the regular 200W ProMedia 2.1s anymore, now they're a ProMedia 2.1 BlueTooth and the total system output is 100W and has a slightly different design.

Also agree they're amazing speakers, but I have this problem too. There's now a 'dead spot' in my volume dial, and the sound is scratchy in other areas. Only had them about 18 months ( although do listen to them every single day for hours )
