Not a bad price if you want to buy from a retailer, but you can do better for brand new kits on eBay. After tax for me in NJ this kit is about $321, the grinder kit on eBay regularly goes for about 200-210 and the jigsaw for 100-110. So almost exactly the same

A very informative review video where he takes the grinder apart to see the quality of the guts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBBx_R6zV3I (caution to the snowflakes, his language can be spicy and is heavily Canuckistanian)

He only got 5 minutes of run time out of a fully charged battery in his grinding angle iron test. You'll get more time with the bigger battery, less intense use, or could use it all day just making occasional cuts to lighter pieces.

I knew before clicking the link after seeing Canuckistanian that you were talking about AvE. This thing is pretty skukum... I don't really know that and I don't remember the verdict from the BOLTR... just wanted to say skukum.

AvE is one of the smartest guys on youtube. He can and does take just about any tool apart and tell you the weak points and strengths. I would trust what he says and shows in his BOLTR reviews more than anyone else pretty much out there. And his reviews are pretty comical with his lexicon.

For anyone familiar with the orbital action on the Dewalt jigsaw: I was testing it without a blade, and the orbital arm seems to only move a tiny bit (like a slow vibrating) no matter what setting (other than 0). I assumed it should move with a more pronounced backward-forward motion. Not sure if I got a defect.

Bad deals and people blowing YouTube personalities. Can this thread get any worse?

It's no $89 circ saw, but still isn't a bad deal if you need the tools and value supporting an outfit that provides those $89 deals...
I'd bite if I was in the market for any of those.

I think jeffs sole purpose in life is to make ppl aware about a guy who got bad runtime out of this grinder who probably tried to force it or push it way too hard or should of been using a larger grinder for his task. Under circumstances of using this grinder for what it is meant for, power of a high end 4 1/2-6" 13 amp corded model, you should expect about 20 minutes of continuous runtime and even more with the 9/3 ah battery. This is the BEST cordless grinder on the market aside from a $1200 36v 9" metabo grinder

How's about you keep your comments about the deal instead of making up falsehoods about other posters?

I was interested in purchasing one of these and discovered a video that I (as well as many others) thought was very informative in which he tears it down to its guts to see the quality of its construction and gives his unbiased opinion of the product and its abilities. Do you not think that the sharing of that video in a discussion about the product is appropriate?

Sharing of the video is appropriate and im sharing my experience as an owner of it and other pro you tube users out there proving my facts as well. I just find it funny how you make the same post every time the grinder shows up as a deal. The fact is wat your buying with this is basically a high end 13 amp 4 1/2"-6" corded grinder but with the feature of cordless. And for most real life comparisons its more like 20 mins continous runtime not 5. That is the straight up best comparison of what the tool is with some nice ergonomics and braking feature imho

So if you were the Slickdeal king, then people could only make a comment once about a product and would remain silent on subsequent deal postings. Well, too bad for you, as I think the sharing of information about the tools that we buy is important and will post relevant links and information any time that I think is appropriate. Feel free to put me on ignore since that bothers you so much.

Just find it funny you seem deadset talking this grinder down. Any cordless tool will drastically decrease runtime if you push it further then what it is designed for. Try running 6" long large diameter lags into wood with a hex chuck impact and let me know how long the battery last. Not long at all. All im saying is compare these kinds of tests to what the tool is designed for, not push a tool past its limits
