Lowes.com Goldblatt drywall tools clearance up to 80% off YMMV

Many (all?) Lowe's stores seem to be phasing out the Goldblatt brand drywall tools and replacing them with something else. Check this link. Any prices that are out of order will be the clearance prices. They are not highlighted with green text like some clearance items. If you see something you like and it's full price, check other area stores. The big mark downs are store pickup only.

If you like what you see, you can just search "Goldblatt" and see what you come up with. They are also phasing out Goldblatt flooring tools, but they are only 20% off and not worth looking at yet.

I did a mod-alert and got this response: "Mod Alert closed with message: The first post is over a week old with no new posts in the past 3 days so it's ok to leave separate. Thanks."

What are a couple essential tools to do small drywall work like patching a hole or something? I've never done drywall work but there are a few electrical projects I want to do around the house and probably will have to do some patching.

Thanks for any help

For patches, you need a knife to cut out the drywall patch piece, a screwdriver and sheetrock screws to attach the backer board and patch, some seam tape, a trowel to evenly spread the mud, a sanding pad to smooth out the mud after it dries, a trowel to evenly spread the mud, a sanding pad to smooth out the mud after it dries, a trowel to evenly spread the mud, a sanding pad to ssmooth out the mud after it dries, etc, until the patch is smooth enough to please your wife, then paint.

Funny they did the same thing with Kobalt drywall tools 2 years ago to make way for Golblatt!
