$250 to compensate for an $800 phone; yes, better than nothing but quite inadequate.

Why is this a deal? Wells Fargo CC provides better coverage at 600 bucks per claim

WF:does not cover rented, borrowed, or received as part of a pre-paid plan

so no coverage for leased phones.

WF: up to four cell phones as listed on your wireless cell phone bill

phones are not listed on my bill. seems like WF might not cover any phone unless you have a dpp on it.

The email I got from Navy Federal is with a Mastercard and it seems to have lots more coverage.

Yeah, $250 to replace an $800 phone is crap, but it's better than $0 if you have no insurance.

I am assuming the $250 also covers repair costs on the same phone. Typical repairs cost between $80 and $250. You are responsible for the first $50 per incident.

The fine print doesn't look all too friendly, but maybe that's just to prevent abuse.

Not sure of Confusing, but that is nice coverage. I just checked, both of my NFCU cards are Visa, so I guess I get the lesser coverage. But, free is free.

Free money is free money, even if it's tied to the ruination of your phone.

It's better than nothing, and enough to cover a G5 Plus, Blade V8 Pro or Idol 5s so that you're not stuck with a burner.

Twice a year is great too, unless you're clumsy af and would be better served by something like a squaretrade warranty.

This is also the one that I received. Even though I already have AppleCare for our phones, this also covers theft. Plus . . . since I have to pay my cellphone bill anyway, may as well use this card. However, I have to consider if this is worth losing the 2.5% cashback from using my USAA card.

It pays after home owner or renters insurance..My home owner policy has a $1000 deductible. So this is worthless until I buy the 1 petabyte Iphone 8.
