The ADF for the HP Multifunction printers does not scan documents straight. To help alleviate this problem for the 8720, install the printer software. Run it and under the Scan tab, click Scan Document.

Scan to PDF
1. Change Destination file type to "Searchable PDF".
2. Click "More>" on the top right then select "Document"
3. Check the box that says "Straighten Content"
4. Click the "Save Icon" on the left side of the tab.

If you use the fax feature and would like to save incoming faxes by having it sent to your gmail account, you might need to go to your google account setting and under apps, select "allow lesser secure apps to access gmail".

Ridiculously expensive. About $80-$100 to replace all four cartridges. You might be able to use after market, however it depends on how tough the anti-aftermarket tech they have installed for this printer. Anyhow, using aftermarket is risky, as I had aftermarket inks completely screw up my print head.

HP does offer a subscription refill service if you're into that crap.

Just FYI, there is a 8730 model that supposedly has more program features, but is more expensive than the 8720.
