Or you can save $6 if it's your first purchase at QVC

I've have the original one and I used to use it a lot, but now that I have mostly all smart TVs with the Amazon Prime video app in it I have not used it in about a year, plus I was having remote control issues where it wasn't working but I think I have that fixed. The only reason to use this instead of the TV apps is for the Watch ESPN app and that would probably come in handy during college football season.

I recently started using it because of the ability to Miracast but I've had some issues lately. I'm not sure if it's the Fire Stick or the source. Is there a big difference between the original one and this one? I know there probably is a faster processor, but will the Miracast feature be the exact same in the newer model?

Why would you want to pay more?

$7, about 18% off...Amazon is $39.99. Does QVC charge tax?

I suppose it's a personal thing but I trust Amazon more than these TV shopping sites. If something is wrong, I'd have a much better chance to getting it resolved with Amazon than QVC. And for me that's worth the couple extra bucks.

I have it on my Samsung TVs....I think they are all 2015 and newer, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

This is true. I would think Amazon would want to make it right for you since it's an Amazon product but maybe they'd tell you to talk to QVC. The OP did a good job of finding a deal for those that don't mind dealing with QVC though, it's not like these things have a 70% fail rate or anything.

There are some extremely cheap people on Slickdeals, lots of them. This is a steal to them.

Quick question for those with 'smart' home setups. With Alexa on your amazon fire, can you ask Alexa to show you front of the home and get a live feed from an alexa compatible webcam?

I want my television to act like a security cam if someone rings the bell, i want to be able to say alexa show me front door/garage/childrens play room and so on in case of emergencies.
