I was comparing this to the other LG 34UM60-P 34-Inch IPS WFHD (2560 x 1080) Ultrawide Freesync Monitor (2017 Model) for more that half the cost but at 1080 instead of 4K.

Usually B&M Costco Warehouse will having it cheaper if they stock it. Can anyone confirm if they have it at their local Costco?

Yea I would go with this one. 1080p is not enough for such a huge screen. I currently have the lg 34uc98-w it's a beast! Love it! This monitor is pretty much the same thing, just black and doesn't have 2 thunderbolt connections like mines has

I'd go with a 27in for 1080,ideally 1440p but 1080 is fine, but not for a 34

The two costcos that I frequent in NY only stock the 2560x1080, never seen the uc88 at my stores.

Never seen it at my local store but I'll check again today. This ticks off just about everything I want - ultrawide, >29", 1440, displayport, IPS, and it has speakers.

Not thrilled about the response time, but it kinda comes with the territory.

Costco/Citi warranty tips the scales for it, if they have in-store I'll probably pull the trigger.

Probably depends on what you're going to do with it. I just recently got my first LG Ultrawide monitor (29UM69G-B) and absolutely love it. Particularly amazing for games that support 2560x1080 resolution (I play Path of Exile, Diablo 3, League of Legends, Rocket League, etc.)

What suck is if you don't have a newer PC with a high end video card you can't play much game on this native resolution.

I end up getting the other model last night. LG 34UM60-P it is a much more bang for the money. It also don't require me to upgrade my current PC video card. I will use this new monitor to built a new PC for next year.

Would this be the same as the 34UC88-B/US from Best buy or no?

I think so the -B/US might be a revision B and US is of course USA. Anyone can confirm it?

I'm going to try it tomorrow. Will update if successful, I'm not sure if it will matter anymore though haha

EDIT: if you scroll down on Costco's website to product details, it shows the UC88-B. not sure if that makes a difference though.

Edit #2: I was able to price match the monitor but of course, YMMV. Next time it is at the sale price, give it a try at your local Best Buy.

Edit #3: I returned the monitor due to the 60hz, this is probably not the best gaming monitor if you can't use freesync. I'm used to a 144hz so the 60hz was a pretty big difference. still a beautiful monitor though!
